Phillips County Library
The Full Story
Originally known as the Helena Women’s Association in 1891 later becomes the Phillips County Library and was placed on the National Register of Historic Places by then-Governor Bill Clinton in 1975. The Phillips County Library is known to be the longest continues running library west of the Mississippi. Starting with a book collection of 533 books to what is now 48,035 located in 3 different locations. Our stats can be found in Marvell, Elaine, and Helena. We also house Phillips Lee Monroe Regional Library funded through Arkansas State Library. Our location includes public computers, limited genealogy information, as well as a community room. You can find in June exciting children's programs including live animals, theater, and magicians. We also welcome local partnerships with other community agencies.

We're thrilled to announce that starting April 30, 2024, Phillips County Library will be embarking on a trial period with extended hours and a refreshed schedule, designed to better serve our community's needs!
🌟 **Extended Hours:** 🌟
To accommodate your busy schedules and provide more opportunities for exploration and learning, we'll be extending our operating hours on Tuesdays. The library will now be open from 8 to 6 on this day.
📅 **One New Day:** 📅
Introducing "One New Day"! Every Saturday, we will be open from 10 to 2.

This trial period is an opportunity for us to better understand and meet the needs of our community. Your feedback and suggestions are invaluable to us as we strive to create a vibrant and welcoming space for all.
